GRAND RAPIDS, MICH - West Michigan native and Democratic Congressional candidate Trevor Thomas (MI-3) released the following statement today on the U.S. House and U.S. Senate votes to extend the payroll tax cut for 160 million workers and unemployment benefits for the rest of the year. Thomas filed his paperwork on Monday to challenge U.S. Rep. Justin Amash. Amash voted today against the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits extension.
